You want land, land, land?
Step 1: If you’ve identified the land you’d like to develop, why not go to our interactive on-line mapping service, LisMaps which will tell you what zoning the land falls under. You’ll also find aerial maps, planning considerations, and the location of underlying infrastructure for the site.
Step 2: Next, you’ll need to check the Local Environmental Plan (LEP) to see what sort of development is permissible in that zone.
Step 3: If your development meets the zoning considerations, the next step is to take a look at the Development Control Plan (DCP) which gives you detailed information on Council’s various requirements and development standards, ranging from building requirements, parking entitlements to landscaping plans.
If you’d like an indication of future zoning directions within the Lismore Council area, check out the Regional City Plan and the Lismore Urban Strategy. These documents will give you an overview of Council’s direction and vision for future land release. Alternatively, you can find out more information on Industrial land in and around Lismore by clicking here.
Finally, if you need more help, we can assist with identifying sites, liaising with Real Estate agents, and advising and guiding you through the development process. Call us on (02) 6626 2000.
