The South Lismore industrial estate is the largest in the Lismore area, and is split into two sections – parts A and B.
Existing uses of the South Lismore – Part A: Industrial Precinct comprise activities such as: hardware and building suppliers, transport depots, brick yards, printing workshops, communications and mobile phone service and sales, plumbing supplies, swimming pool supplies, sand blasting works, electrical supplies, vehicle sales and service centres, caravan sales and repairs, muffler sales and repairs, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, paint supplies, steel fabrications and welding workshops, courier base, fencing and landscape supplies, roofing suppliers, glass and aluminium door and window suppliers, tube makers, furniture manufacturer, indoor ten pin bowling centre, tiles and ceramics sales, car port and awnings suppliers, nuts and bolts suppliers, truck sales and maintenance, concrete products and cabinet makers.
Less than 2 hectares of this estate remains undeveloped.
An extension of the South Lismore – Part B industrial estate off Wilson Street South and Kingsford Smith Drive (see South Lismore – Part B: Industrial Precinct) is currently under construction.
There may be further opportunities for expansion of the 4(a) zoned area to the west, subject to compatibility with airport use and flood considerations.
