Existing Uses and Opportunities
This mixed use industrial estate has developed gradually over many years, and is in two sections – the major section in the McCauley Street area, and a smaller section off Alexandra Parade east of the railway line.
Existing uses comprise activities, such as: concrete batching, furniture recycling and second hand goods centre, timber and hardware supplies, stone masonry and terrazzo/monument manufacture, fuel depot, concrete block sales and transport depot.
A new extension to this industrial area has been endorsed by Council, which will add a further ten hectares to this precinct following gazettal.
